P3: To the Rescue!

Animal Rescue Campaign Progress

At this point our exigence is to help a local animal rescue in marketing their services and animals on a wider scale and improving the resources they already have in action. We have expressed our ability to work with social media, photography, video/sound editing, and various other methods of advertising. We have contacted a wide range of animal shelters, including the local government’s rescue program, as well as Big Dog Rescue and Last Hope Rescue. Some of the shelters advertise a certain type of animal (such as small dogs or old dogs) and some have a general inventory of dogs and cats at all ages and sizes.

So far, the constraints we have faced are organizing a time for our team to meet in person and agreeing on a particular approach for us to take in contacting the organizations and offering our services. We have set up a Google doc that allows collaboration whenever it’s convenient for each individual, and established a text group chat to update one another as we move forward and suggest further actions as the project’s deadline looms closer. We would like to have our organization selected by the end of this week and meet to establish a plan or timeline and discuss in person our ideas and concerns in moving forward.
