Today, we met with two representatives from City Church at
a nearby Starbucks to discuss our campaign plan. Our point person within the
organization is Chelsea Workman, who is the communications director at City. We
decided that we would be helping them promote their Easter event “Easter at The
Civic Center”.
They have already finalized their Easter graphic and shirts, but
would like some help making college students more aware of the event, especially the
freshmen. Their meetings are typically held Mondays at 3pm, and they have
invited us to join them on the 20th, which is 4 weeks before Easter. At this
meeting, we will present our texts for review (we will be making parking passes
for the City Church Staff, an infographic, and a flyer design). Some of these
will be distributed on the 27th at the City Church U event, which is
specifically for college students, since they don’t have another one until
after Easter. But all other materials will not be distributed until after April
3rd!
Another idea they had was getting involved with the PanHellenic board and making Easter baskets for all the sororities where we can include invite cards to further promote the event.
Our group feels very optimistic
about this partnership as we are all familiar with social media and most of us
can navigate Photoshop and InDesign, which will help with the flyer. We also
have a connection with the PanHellenic board, which will make communicating
with the sororities easier as well!
