Writing is
an accumulation of thoughts, ideas, hopes, art, etc. written or formed by one
mind or an abundance of many, to persuade, entertain, instruct, inspire,
inform, etc. a reader with the point or objective that the writer is trying to present.
Writing can be written in a variety of styles, both personal and impersonal,
for any audience that the author may be envisioning. A reader will assimilate
an author’s writing according to the transparency or readability of the work,
which is at the discretion of the writer. Writing allows us to push ourselves
as individuals to think in different perspectives and challenge our writing
skills, styles and intellect. It assists us in demonstrating our learned
knowledge and experiences, and sharing them with others to educate them on ones
emotional, economical, environmental, academic, religious, or political
interests, research and finds. It consists of different strategies, methods,
suggestions, etc. to form the best literary work one can conduct, and for
whatever purpose their writing may serve. Writing is strategically designed
and most importantly, situational. Even when there are rhetorical
devices present in a piece of writing, it is important to understand that the
main goal is not always persuasion, but is more specifically aimed at practicality
and producing action to install an impact on the audience or reader (Bitzer, p.
3). Writers use strategies to appeal and attract the audience members to lure
them into their work, and it is important to understand your audience and
the style that will captivate them. When written per crisis or situation at
hand, writing should have a much stronger impact on an audience to produce
an emotional charge within each member or receiver of the text. For writing to
contain strong rhetoric appeal, it must contain proof, emotional persuasion,
take ethics into accounts, main relevancy, and target the audience (Blitzer,
p.2). Writing provides for its audience, and is everlasting because it
is technology that cannot expire and can be translated across the globe to
share stories, entertain, and inform. If writing doesn’t produce an impact on
its audience then its purpose or rhetoric was not strong enough, or was not
conveyed in a comprehendible or transparent way.
