Writing Term Map

My map is a road that begins at the term "Writing" and follows the terms down the road beginning with "personality". In order to make connections among the terms, there are options to take detours down the road that lead to different combinations of comparing two terms.

  1. I think that my definition of writing and the key terms that comprise "writing" are a bit more centered on the writer him/herself as opposed to keeping the audience in mind. In the Rose piece, the three major aspects of writing were Technical, Compositional and Social. I guess if I had to relate my key terms to Rose, I would say that the social aspect of the Rose perspective relates to mine the most because of the societal impacts on the writer and their perspectives which are revealed in what they say in their writing, as well as how they say those things. A few important key terms that I am missing are audience, and circulation. In the Lundsford reading, there are mentions of the rhetorical triangle. The rhetorical triangle also does not leave out audience when it comes to writing, and the receivers perspective. Overall, I think I am missing the key term "audience" in my writing key terms list.
