Map

  1. Similar to the ideas of Rose and Lundsford, my map embodies the idea that writing is a response by depicting the relationship between movement and perpetuity. Moreover, the map shows how movement is the result of conception. Rose and Lundsford also discuss in detail how writing is a response and ongoing conversation, which is lacking from my map. Although conception is shown to be the result of expression, ideas, and articulation, there is no statement showing a connection between conversation and conception or expression. In the future this would need to be added to my map. Additionally, when reflecting on the work of Shipka, my map fails to account for how experience shapes writing and forms of expression. Experience plays such a large role in explaining the differences between people, it is worth noting when mapping out key terms of writing. Experience can be linked to practically every term on the map and thus should become the center piece of the map. I also failed to account for limitations that Shipka argues places restrictions on how and why a piece is composed. Moreover, my only accounts for technology through the term movement and doesn't discuss the way it can be used to blur lines and cause confusion. However, one aspect I included that relates to Shipka's writing is the articulation of ideas and how the combination of ideas and articulation leads to conception of a creation.
