Key Terms Map

Here is a map of the key terms of writing I outlined in my first post.


Now that I have read Shipka, I feel my map is lacking a piece form the prospective her work provided. I have Bitzer's ideas of situation displayed through my choice of the word "setting", and Rose talks about he creation of visual images, and while I do have creation on my chart, reading Shipka has taught me I should include the word mode as well. Knowing what I do now, I would put The work "Rhetoric" in the center of the map instead of 'Writing" and I would add the word "Mode" to the outside words because rhetoric can come from a variety of modes and mediums and does not necessarily have to be from a traditional essay writing format.
