Writing
is extremely versatile and has many purposes. In a literal sense, writing is
the combination of words that are used to communicate. Writing is one of the
most powerful forms of communication that can be done in numerous ways. It can
be done electronically, like through email, text, and word documents, or it can
be done mechanically with pen and paper. Writing can be straightforward and
informative. It is used to express feelings and thoughts to others and relay
information. It is also a way for us to understand others thoughts, feelings, and
ideas. Writing can also be creative and expressive through manipulation of
words demonstrated in poetry, fiction, journaling, etc. On a personal level,
writing is an effective way to sort out thoughts and release emotions. It’s a way
to understand ourselves and our environments and the events that take place in
our individual lives. Writing has the ability to solidify agreements like the
constitution and important contracts. It has the power to move people
emotionally and connect with them on a personal and deeper level beneath the
surface.
