After reflecting on the peer review, I would define writing to be a skill that can be worked on and progressed. Writing is something that can be creative and unique to one because it comes from your own thoughts of perception.  It allows to me express myself in a way where people can get an understanding of my point of view. I am able to share my thoughts with the world whether it is on an online site review, or in a journal.  Mostly, writing expands my mind and it enables me to think about the ideas that come to mind and it teaches me to use my sense of imagination and creativity.

       My prior experience with writing has showed me that these terms play a major role in writing. Then, I couldn’t say I had a full understanding on how important they are to writing, but now I can see how it allows me to improve my writing. I believe you become a better writer when you have comprehended how certain terms can play a part in your writing. I am now able to express myself in depth because I have a better understanding of these terms and how they function in writing.

        Some of the key terms that I use with my writing would be is to have purpose. I like to have an idea why I am writing because it enables me to widen my perception of thoughts and ideas. Another would be voice; Writing allows me to be able to voice my opinions in a way that my readers can hear me and be able to relate. Next is point of view, I think it’s best for readers to understand where I’m coming from. Plus, I like to be able to share new ways of thinking. Knowing who your audience is a just another key to effective writing. It will also help me to decide what voice I want to use. Depending on who the audience is, I will be able to address the main concerns that they may have.  Lastly, is watching for syntax. It’s important to be able to write in a style that your reader considers effective.
