I think of writing as a simple way to convey a message, information, and mostly physical words. Composing and writing can be the same thing in some sense, like you can compose/write a message. On the flip side though, you can't 'write' a design of pictures and you cant 'write' the beats to a song, those types of things are what I would consider strictly composing.

Project 1 has really been in eye-opener with all these terms. You go in thinking it's just a basic term like audience, circulation, design, etc. What we don't realize is that they are so much more complex than just the simple definition. All these terms have specific roles and adn purposes in writing and composing.

While writing and/or composing there are a ton of terms that come to mind. I would say for me, the terms that come to mind are 1.) thought 2.) genre 3.) text 4.) books 5.) songs 6.) organization 7.) design 8.) conventions.
