Free Write 2/08

In the past, my experiences with peer-reviews have been extremely negative and ineffective. I did them mostly in high school, so students were apathetic and nonchalant about the whole process. Ultimately, the peer-reviews seemed to just waste class time and were completely unhelpful. For the few that did help and provide constructive criticism, I found it most helpful when they complimented the things I did correctly and well, but also gave examples and ideas on how I could fix the things that needed work. For me, the most frustrating thing is when people just tell you what you did well but not what needs work.
