My past experiences with peer review were never positive.
Everyone in my class would do the bare minimum required of the teacher and then
give me back my paper. Also they would make up comments that didn’t help my
overall writing process at all. I find negative or constructive feedback most
helpful in peer review experiences because it shows me what I need to change,
fix, or redo. Sometimes while writing I get stuck in certain parts of my
project and I think the constructive feedback helps me get over those bumps.
Peer review was very frustrating and a waste of time because my classmates
would only write what they liked about my paper and wouldn’t give me any
information on how to change it or make it better. Hopefully it is different in
this class!
