Freewrite Raeann Niebel

In my past experiences, everyone passes around their work and then other students respond to the work in what they think could be improved about it. They usually have to make X many points about what can be improved.

People who take the time to read the work in full provide the best feedback. I like when people fix grammatical errors (for some reason its much easier for other people to find your grammatical errors than your own). The thing about peer review that frustrates me is when you are expected to incorporate all the suggestions into your final work. The thing I don’t like about peer reviews is that it’s your peers. For the most part, the best they can do is offer advice from outside of where you’re standing, but they don’t have a higher education or a plethora of more knowledge than the writer.
