Freewrite - Demetree

My past experiences of peer review have not been too great.  It depends on who I am working with but usually if it's with someone I don't know it gets really awkward and they say "everything looks fine."  I think it's weird to review someone's document if you don't know them because most people are afraid to tell them the truth.  I have had good experiences in classes that I knew people.  They were my friends and they gave me an honest opinion about my work, what was good and what needed to be fixed.  The kind of feedback I like is when someone tells me that I am not getting to the point quickly enough or I should add a certain aspect to the work.  In this class an effective peer review would be for someone to understand what my project is trying to convey and if they think I should add anything that would help the audience.  Peer review's function is to get an opinion from someone that is doing the exact same thing as you and what they're working on that could help you, vice versa.
