Final Map -GR

  1.  Intent is most central to my theory of composing. It is the foundation that sets the writings direction to achieve the desired outcome. I show it's centrality in my map by placing it as the stem of the flower that rises from the beginning of our composing process.
  2. I chose to work with regular printer paper and a few highlighters. This allowed me to keep my map relatively simple. The few highlighters that were accessible to me let me color coordinate the different parts of my map and add some diversity as opposed to one solid color. However, the restriction of only highlighters didn't let me be as creative as I would like to be,
  3. I designed my map in a flower because it represents the gradual and the growing process when we are composing and when we write during and after the process. The audience is the center of the flower because it is the people who we are usually composing for and the people we need to attract and engage with our text that shapes aspects of our writing. The reading path goes from down to top. When we compose, we place intention and plan in order to select an audience and build our writing to match our purpose and our audience.
  4. I will integrate my theory in my about me. I might try to design a digital, and much better designed, flower to exhibit my theory. If not, I will integrate it within my about me and make sure to apply my flower metaphor to the text.
