Two things I took away from the readings in class this semester were the use of rhetoric and the rhetorical situation as well as the importance of layout and design. Rhetoric is used in anything we see, read, or hear. You must always choose your words wisely when speaking or writing to an audience because it can make all the difference whether it is the words you choose or the way in which you phrase them.
Design can also affect the way a person views your work. The layout of a piece can make someone not want to read it at all or entice someone to view more of your work. I really enjoyed this conversation because it made me rethink the way my ePortfolio would be designed as well as future essays and projects.
