Final Map

1. Audience, Circulation, and Environment are most central to my personal theory of composing. This is because, to me, they each are something that must be taken into account when composing. I show their centrality by making them the top 3 terms on my map and having the other terms extend from those.
2. I worked with paper and markers because I like the contrast of the bright markers against the white paper. I started out by trying a mapping website but did not like how it looked. I felt that a hand drawn map looked more proportional and was easier to read. An affordance would be what I just mentioned. The limitations are that my handwriting is not great and I did not give myself enough room for the term "environment."
3. I designed this text with arrows to guide the audience through how I think of my process of composing. As they view it they will see the first 3 terms, which are meant to be the most important, and then the terms stemming from that, which are still important, but do not have as large of an impact on me as a writer. The preferred reading path would be to start at audience and go down from there and then move onto to circulation, then environment, and down from there. I only have 7 terms so it is pretty easy to follow and I did my best to not make it overwhelming. The arrangement of these terms are meaningful because I kept the arrangement plain and simple much like how I like to keep everything else in my life.
4. I will integrate my theory in my eportfolio as it's own separate page. I will include it as my personal theory of composing. This will give my audience an idea of what I think about when I compose, which is perfect since I hope to be a writer or publisher. I am not going to include it in map form, though. I am going to include it as paragraphs with an explanation by each term on why it is included in my theory of composing. My audience will then be able to follow my train of thought and why it is set up the way it is.
