Final Map - Carley Huffstetler

     My central words are text, communication, expression, circulation, technology, motivation, and environment. I show their centrality by either representing them as text or imagery on my map. Many of the elements intermingle and can be shown by a single image or concept. I chose to work with a digital format in the form of photoshop because I wanted to create a kind of infographic using a person because so much about composing relies on the author and intended audience. This was limiting because, with the time constraints we had, it was necessary to use images from google that do not always contain exactly what i am looking for. I had the affordance of being able to choose the look that I wanted and being able to manipulate the images that I wanted. My arrangement of terms is around or on the author icon. This is because the author often facilitates all of my included words. Often, a lot of aspects of composition are occurring at once, so  there is so defninte  reading path other than to notice the small details as you go through. I will most likely post the map on my e-portfolio in order to integrate my theory.
