Takeaways ~ Haven Talley

A couple of takeaways I had from the grid was:

1. Almost every rhetorician has a large focus on audience
2. The more recently published rhetoricians focused more on design/display/attractiveness and the "less is more" idea

I noticed that no matter what each of the rhetoricians focused on (whether it be content, exigence, or design/display), the each (for the most part) weighed a piece's level of effectiveness based on its ability to attract/persuade its audience. When it came down to it, each rhetorician had goals to show their ideas as to what was effective rhetoric/versus what was not in order to reach a targeted audience, while focusing in on what they saw as the most important/appealing aspect in rhetoric.

I also noticed that the more recently published authors focused more on digital media, design and presentation as opposed to content. The more modern rhetoricians ideas definitely made more sense to me when it came to what is rhetorically pleasing to people today.

Question: Is it true that we write to think and can you clarify this idea
