Theory of Composing

I would currently define the term writing as the expression of ideas on paper or on a digital device. Essentially transferring ones thoughts on a material in which others can read if they were given access to; but writing does not involve publishing these thoughts or changing them in any way. Editing involves a deeper understanding of what was just written down. You begin to change your thoughts, whether it be the grammar or the original organization ... or maybe some thoughts didn't make any sense once put on paper. Editing makes it easier for an audience to understand the authors thoughts. Composing is the connection of everything that relates to writing and editing. It involves the actual publication of something for anyone to see.
My key terms that relate to writing, editing, and composition include: Circulation, Knowledge, Creativity, Environment, and Personal Experience. They all allow writing, editing, and composition to have a greater and deeper meaning.
My experiences with Project 2 allowed me to give the composition term a lot more thought; but now that i have to re do it, the project has helped me see a greater importance in the term editing. This course has just helped me understand them in a deeper level and helped me in other classes and even in everyday life to give more importance to this process.
The change that i made was adding environment. I did not realize how important the authors and the audiences environment was when writing and composing something. The author's environment could affect how he or she writes something and how; and an audience members environment could influence the overall interpretation of the text.
