Journal Seven

Theory of composing, round II:
Right now, I would define writing as a process of composition, editing and a process of composition, and composing as creating, writing, and editing an idea or thought process into actuality. These terms are vital to the process of meaning-making, which is a term for how I would describe the process of composition. All these terms making up the term meaning making for me, so if I was to create a totem pole it would be as follows:
Meaning Making
Composing
Writing
Editing

Project 2 shaped my definitions because it made me think of them in actuality, and the process of making our project ideas into reality made me thinking a lot about composing. Another thing of composing that I enjoy but proved to be difficult was that every person has a unique style of composition and meaning making, and when throwing that unique approach into a group project things can get difficult, but you learn valuable skills. A lot of the process for Project 2 was thinking about writing and editing for a specific audience and how that audience would circulate the texts we were creating.
Outside of this course I had definitions for these words but I didn't have the practical experiences and research to see how the terms worked together and inter connectedly.
The only change I've made since week 2 is working on the process of composing before the night before it's due, this class has forced me to work on projects and portfolios the entire semester.
